The Omid Investment Management Group Company was established on February 10, 2002 (21 Bahman 1380) with an initial capital of 650 billion rials, following the license No. 1026 dated December 14, 2001 (23 Azar 1380) issued by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It was registered as a private joint stock company under registration number 183650 with the Tehran Companies and Non-Commercial Institutions Registration Office.
On January 18, 2005 (29 Dey 1383), based on a resolution of the Extraordinary General Assembly of shareholders, the company’s legal form was changed from a private joint stock company to a public joint stock company. Subsequently, on July 25, 2007 (3 Mordad 1386), it was listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “VAMID,” and its trading symbol was opened on January 6, 2008 (16 Dey 1386), marking the start of its public offering. The company’s current capital amounts to 96.979 trillion rials.
At present, Omid Investment Management Group holds shares in several listed and non-listed companies and plays a significant role in value creation, economic growth, and employment, particularly in Iran’s border provinces.
